The story.
It started with a funk…
I’m Emma. And a little while ago a found myself in bit of a funk.
A funk? I was riddled with anxiety, in a constant state of overwhelm, terrible insomnia, lack of concentration, chronic injury, declining fitness, high interest debt, regular bouts of sadness and I didn’t like myself very much. I’m one of the most organised and motivated people I know, and I simply could not get on top of this shit no matter how hard I tried.
The more I attempted to find solutions to my snowballing problems, the more overwhelming my whole ‘situation’ became. A whole lot of seemingly simple problems quickly became a massive shitstorm when combined together. I was trying to solve them all simultaneously and the plethora of solutions and ideas I came up with up to fix things just added to my already out of control To-Do list. I felt completely funked.
Somehow in the midst of my shitstorm, a light came on and my Project Manager cogs started to turn. I am a successful professional - so how would I approach this situation if it was, you know, my job?! And so “The Emma Project” was launched and the Hello Better method was established. The impact of the approach I took was profound and immediate. My shit got better overnight and it kept getting better. And I wanted to share this approach with whoever would listen so they could feel better too!
I developed a passion for passing on what I’d learnt and helping people like me find their own ‘better’. Hello Better was born and here we are.
Cheers to feeling better,
-Emma xx
The good stuff.

Brain customers are a thing.
If my brain was a manufacturing facility, I would describe it as overprocessed, overscheduled, under resourced. The customers are plentiful, impatient and they make A LOT of noise. I adapted a simple system to bring calm and order to my mind that has honestly changed my life. And our clients all agree it’s a winner.

Why I keep scissors in the fridge.
When you are time poor and have a busy mind that’s easily distracted – it’s a recipe for frustrating time wasting followed by rushing and lateness. So how did putting scissors in the fridge help get me out of the house in time?
-
Budgets are yucky.
I never really knew exactly how much of my fortnightly salary I shouldn't spend so there would be enough left to pay my critical expenses. Get paid, spend, and hope for the best!! This popular strategy ensured a constant state of anxiety about money, running out of it (often), guilt when spending it, zero of it saved and a heap of it accrued in high interest credit card debt. This simple method got me out of this festering financial situation - and it’s not a budget.

“I came in feeling overwhelmed, anxious and like I couldn't even get my mind to stop racing for long enough to think about what I wanted to say.
There is something so satisfying about getting all the 'shit' out of your head and onto a page. By the end of the first session, I felt I had gained at least 50% of my brain capacity back. The impact of it has still not left me, which is a surprise in itself.”

“I am so blown away by the method that you have to help with my financial ‘situation’. For many years I have felt guilt and shame over late bill payments and not having enough money for anything that would contribute to a healthy and happy lifestyle.
Just to realise that by changing some long-held defeating habits and rearranging my income priorities that I could feel in control of this part of my life is truly magical.”

“I have been so anxious to the point of avoidance when it came to managing my finances. I felt constantly overwhelmed and no idea where to start to make things better.
After our first session, something that was daunting and intimidating soon turned into something that I was empowered and excited about putting into action. I felt productive and excited to see my financial goals achieved.”
